Aims and Objects

Thamizhar Kazhagam is a socio-economic, cultural and political organization rendering selfless service which aims for the upliftment of Tamil society with following aims:

• (a) to create a congenial environment for the implementation of PROUT by imparting socio-economic, cultural and political education to the people of Tamil Nadu, thereby establishing progressive socialism and guaranteeing the sovereignty, unity and integrity of India.
• (b) to eradicate all forms of exploitation, corruption and injustice in all fields and on all fronts to advance the cause of human progress.
• (c) To remove immorality and dogma and liberate society from divisive forces like casteism, communalism, separatism, provincialism etc.
• (d) To create socio-economic, cultural and political consciousness amongst the people of India in line with their sublime spiritual heritage, rich cultural traditions and diverse natural languages, thereby ensuring unity in diversity amongst the Indian people.
• (e) To establish moralist leadership and genuine democracy free from coercion, corruption and nepotism in the social, economic and political spheres.
• (f) The minimum requirements of life i.e., food, clothing, medical treatment, housing and education according to the age in which they live.
• (g) Special amenities for meritorious people as per the environmental condition of the particular age and efforts will be made to provide maximum amenities to all.
• (h) This universe is the collective property of all, and nothing can be created by man in this universe on his own. Therefore, no one should be allowed to accumulate wealth without the clear permission of the collective body.
• (i) The resources of the world, that is, solid, liquid, luminous, aerial and ethereal resources should be progressively utilized through scientific research and there should be rational distribution.
• (j) There should be maximum utilization of physical, mental and spiritual potentialities of individual and collective welfare of the society to ensure that the collective welfare lies in the welfare of the individual and the individual welfare lies in collective welfare.
• (k) While promoting individual and collective welfare, there should be proper adjustment and the physical, mental and spiritual spheres. To provide minimum requirements of every individual and at the same time provide 100% employment in order to earn money to purchase the minimum requirement.
• (l) The method of utilization should vary in accordance with the changes in time, space and person and should be of progressive nature.

Means of Achievement
To establish the above aims and objectives of Thamizhar Kazhagam:

• i. Contest local, state and national elections and engage in all forms of democratic activities to establish PROUT in the socio-economic, cultural and political spheres.
• ii. Encourage, inspire and help those moralists, who adhere to the ideology of PROUT in the socio-economic, cultural and political spheres.
• iii. Establish various socio-economic movements throughout Tamil Nadu which will be universal in spirit but regional in approach.
• iv. Work to establish self-sufficient socio-economic planning thereby provide the minimum necessities of life, proper food, clothing, housing, education and medical care.
• v. Work especially amongst students, youth, intellectuals, labourers, farmers, and women to create in them a universal outlook and help solve their socio-economic problems.
• vi. Conduct seminars, conferences, workshops, study circles, etc. to propogate PROUT and educate people in the ideology of PROUT.
• vii. Publish newsletters, magazines, booklets, leaflets etc. to disseminate PROUT.
• viii. Receive donations, contributions and subscriptions from members of both Thamizhar Kazhagam and the public to pursue and achieve the above aims and objectives.
• ix. Adopt any other judicious means to materialize the aims and objectives of Thamizhar Kazhagam as may be deemed necessary by the Centrtal Executive Committee of Thamizhar Kazhagam.

ECONOMIC DEMOCRACY
Economic democracy means, power to make economic decision and its implementation should be placed in the hands of local people. This can be achieved through economic decentralization based on co-operative system.

ECONOMIC DECENTRALISATION
Minimum requirements of life must be guaranteed to every individual. Minimum requirements include food, clothing, shelter, education and medical care. Increasing purchasing capacity must be guaranteed to all people through 100% employment so that they can purchase the minimum requirements of life.

Raw material of the area should be utilized for all round development of the local people. It should not be allowed to go out and industries based on local raw materials should be established in the same area and that should be owned and managed by co-operatives. Local people are those merged their individual socio-economic interest with the socio-economic interest of the region in which they live.

Only local people must be employed in the local economic enterprises. Outsiders must not be allowed to interfere in the local economic activities.

Production should be consumption oriented and not for profit earning. These commodities should have free access in the local market.

To ensure rational distribution, the production and distribution of commodities should be organized through co-operatives.

Produce of non-agricultural, agro and agrico-industries should meet the needs of the local people and they should be managed and controlled by co-operatives of workers not by companies. They will form micro-units of economic enterprises.
